A small Viking scouting party has been invited to Bebbanburg to meet the King. Meet them in the inner ward were they are preparing a feast for the royal party, showing off their wares to establish trade links and the herbalist is on hand for any afflictions the royal household may have.

Wise woman healer, Freydis the læknir will be returning to the mighty castle of Bebbanburg with her herbal medicines. What ailments and agues might the good people at the court of King Oswald be suffering?

Come find Freydis preparing remedies at her tent in the Inner Ward. Listen to tales of ancient illnesses and disease, discover what she uses to keep people hale and hearty in the 7th century, and experience fascinating recreations of real Viking and Anglo-Saxon medicines up close!
