Wildcrafting Workshops for Groups & Individuals
Spend time with our community herbalist(s) who will guide you through a day of plant connection, foraging and herbal medicine making.
Enjoy a deep dive into the world of intuitive herbalism, and develop your connection with ancestral herbal wisdom, building on centuries of folk traditions of plants as medicine.
We will spend time in nature, meeting our native plant allies that have been used to treat common complaints, maintain health and wellbeing and promote good mental health for thousands of years.
We look at plants, trees, and the fungi used in traditional medicines, and when possible, bring some of these back for wildcrafting.
You will be guided through how to create and preserve different herbal remedies, from salves, infused-oils, teas to tinctures and vinegars and more.
We will also provide everything to craft these remedies as part of a herbal first aid kit, using age-old techniques for applying them as poultices, plaisters, compresses and more...
Workshops for Nurseries, Schools & educational settings
Our workshops are educational and entertaining! Real herbalists provide hands-on sessions, combining group discussions on use of foraged foods and herbal plants throughout the ages.
Fun, practical activities are designed to engage children's interest in nature and history.
Participants can explore dried and fresh herbs and plants, and unique and fascinating accessories and tools that complement the healer's art. Intriguing stories about the recipes and remedies help children connect with nature, medicine, and build skills for resilience and wellbeing.
Activities are tailored to the age of the group, and may include crafting a charm bag, discovering how to make a magical healing 'potion' with cooking herbs, blending a herbal tea, traditional remedy making, guided walks to identify plants used for herbal healing in times gone by, and more...
Our sessions can include cross-curricular links, and can be used as part of Health and Wellbeing, Science, History, and Social Studies.
