We bring life to the role of the historical wise woman. We are not just reenactors, we are real herbalists, re-imagining and recreating the healer's role in the communities of eras long past. In Ancient times, healers wove medicinal, magical and spiritual knowledge into their healing craft to relieve the suffering of patients. Even as late as the 18th century magickal spells, prayers and healing intentions empowered healing medicines, so we try and bring a touch of magic to our living history experiences!

Some herbal remedies may appear esoteric and strange in today's world yet many have proven to be effective when put under scientific scrutiny. Based on historical research and archaeological findings, our interactive displays are vivid and dynamic, with lots to see, and do!

We design our herbal healers' apothecaries as interactive experiences. We are herbalists AND reenactors, so we dress in period clothing, using authentic replicas of the tools, instruments and materials. You can touch the herbs, smell a remedy, and experience long-forgotten medicine. Discover for yourself how they would have worked and experience the weird and wonderful ingredients up close!
